TRAVEL

FLYING TO MEXICO CITY

We recommend flying into Mexico City International Airport (MEX), also known as Benito Juárez International Airport. There are direct flights from JFK, LAX, SFO, and more on many of the following airlines: American Airlines, AeroMexico, Delta, United, as well as some local carriers.

For pick-up, Uber is widely used throughout Mexico City. We suggest allowing a little extra time when traveling to and from the airport, as Mexico City traffic can be unpredictable.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the attire for the wedding?

Garden black-tie optional. Don't be afraid of color, and self expression is encouraged! Think soft, flowy fabrics, ankle or floor length dresses, suits and linen suits — comfortable enough for warm weather. Elegant enough for photos!

Ladies: Please note that our venue is primarily grass, so we highly recommend opting for block heels, wedges, or flats and avoiding thin or stiletto heels.

Contact us with any questions!

What's the attire for the welcome party?

To kick off the wedding weekend, we’d love for our guests to join us in all white for the Welcome Party! Think white or cream linen, flowy dresses, and light summer suits — chic, effortless, and ready to celebrate. No ties required!

Will transportation be provided on the wedding day?

Yes, for the wedding day, shuttle service will be arranged to and from the venue at the Intercontinental Hotel.

The drive from the hotel to the venue is roughly 45 minutes to an hour, so sprinters will be leaving at 1:30pm to arrive around 2:30pm. Please plan your day accordingly and arrive on time!

PWD assistance is also available – please don’t hesitate to reach out to us so we can make arrangements for you, if needed.

Are children allowed to the wedding?

Please note that this is an adults only celebration and we request no children at our wedding.

What should I know coming to Mexico City?

Before getting to Mexico City, know that the city is at a higher elevation. Staying hydrated before and during your stay will do the trick!

What documentation do I need to fly into Mexico?

Please make sure you have a passport that is valid for MORE than 6 months after December 1st, 2026. If your passport expires between December 1st - May 1st, 2026, you will not be allowed to fly into Mexico. If needed, you can renew your passport here (process takes 4-6 weeks): https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/renew-online.html A visa is not needed if you are traveling with a US passport.

How many days should we spend in Mexico City?

We recommend 3-5 nights to enjoy both wedding festivities and local experiences. There is so much vibrant and rich culture, museums, architecture, markets, and more to explore in Mexico City. Please see our "guide" section of the website with more detailed recommendations. Once we have the final agenda for the weekend, we will also update the website so you know when all events are!

What is the preferred method of transportation in Mexico City?

We highly recommend Uber for getting around the city. Ubers are very affordable, convenient, and safe. When arriving into Benito Juárez Int'l Airport (MEX) it is quite easy to call an Uber. An alternative option is to pre-arrange transportation with the hotel concierge, they can private a verified driver to meet you at arrivals.

Please avoid local taxis, as standards of service and reliability may vary.

Is Mexico City safe?

YES! Mexico City is safe. Like any major city, it has its safety considerations and we advise generally being aware of your surroundings as you would anywhere. Neighborhoods such as Condesa, Polanco, and Roma Norte are very safe to explore on foot. These areas offer vibrant streets, beautiful parks, and a plethora of cafes, restaurants, and cultural attractions to explore safely. As always, exercise caution, stay aware of your surroundings, and enjoy all that Mexico City has to offer!
